Itis an Amei Tribe tradition to only imbibe wine during sacrificialor celebratory ceremonies. This wine drinking culture is both respectful and sacred. Atthese ceremonies the young people would take turns pouring wine for theirelders, passing the cup from one to another.
The idea of this wine warmer set is based on a copper wine warmer fromthe Shang Dynasty. Taking the shape of anantique pottery bottle of the Amei Tribe and lacing the rims and thebottom rings of the pieces of this set with a wavelike pattern from a typical Amei costume, the design is intended to create a product that allows people to enjoy the warmthfrom drinking heated wine.
