This work is inspired by the painting “TheMessage” by Thomas Cooper Gotch. Incomparably lovely dollops of bright red, poppies have been known for 5000 years as the Flowers of Bliss and praised bythe bards of ancient Greece as the Herb of Forgetfulness. The gold from theangel’s wings and the woman’s blouse in the painting has been transformed intothe cup handle, symbolizing warmth and happiness.
