The inspiration for this work was the paper cutout “The Snail” by Henri Matisse, adopting its vivid colors as creative elements to create a boisterous, merry image that is very simple and childlike. Color fields form the shape of a sturdy, big cow, contrasting with the vivacious little flowers on the mounds. In the distance is a broad, bold prospect, representing grand success.
